Founder of EquiGroup
Ali Al Nowais
What began with EquiFilms at the age of 17 grew from an early creative venture into a professional production company.
Building the business from the ground up created experience across creative direction, production, client relationships, and the practical discipline required to turn an idea into an operating company. That journey positioned its founder among the UAE’s youngest emerging business leaders.
As the vision developed, EquiFilms was joined by EquiSecure and EquiBrands—three focused companies brought together under EquiGroup, each with its own discipline and a shared standard across the group.
Distinct disciplines
need a shared point of view.
The thinking behind EquiGroup is straightforward: specialist focus and shared standards can strengthen one another.
EquiFilms, EquiSecure, and EquiBrands each occupy a distinct discipline. The parent group gives those disciplines one clear frame—connecting film production, security and operational resilience, and brand development and product distribution without reducing their differences.
The emphasis is deliberate: clarity in how the group is understood, discipline in how each company is positioned, craft in the work, and long-term thinking in the direction of travel.
Four principles.
One consistent frame.
A concise philosophy for keeping the group focused and its work considered.
- 01
Make clarity useful
Clear thinking should make direction easier to understand and decisions easier to hold together.
- 02
Protect the discipline
Each company keeps a precise focus, with the parent group providing a coherent frame around it.
- 03
Respect the craft
Good work deserves care in both the thinking behind it and the way it is expressed.
- 04
Think beyond now
A long-term view keeps the group attentive to enduring value rather than short-lived momentum.
Long-term by intent
Build what can remain clear as it moves forward.
For EquiGroup, long-term thinking is a way to keep purpose, structure, and standards aligned across its three specialist companies.
